Process Enactment
Process Enactment is the next stage in process automation. Where process automation took a set of tools to automate a particular set of workflows, process enactment automates most, if not all, of a process workflow to create a collaborative working environment where transition between tools is seamless within the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). IBM’s Jazz and Borland’s Management Solution (BMS) are both process enactment solutions. Regardless of the tool being enacted, we are able to provide the same set of services.
To realize the complete benefits of process enactment, it is vital to have a defined process that is architected with a usage model in place to manage its improvement, maintenance, and enablement. An assessment is necessary to plan the roll-out of the tool; an enactment platform realizes a defined process specific to the organization. Furthermore, a roadmap provides the guidance and planning necessary to manage the implementation lifecycle. Finally, the inherent complexity of a process enactment platform is such that rolling it out across the organization will overwhelm its users without appropriate enablement.
