All of our Process Assessment, Roadmapping, & Enablement services can be coupled with our services for Process Enactment, Process Tailoring & Implementation, and IT Governance & Metrics Implementation.
We leverage our expertise and knowledge by providing the following services around process tailoring and implementation:
Process Assessment is performed to assess the state of process for one or more projects, a division or IT unit, or the entire IT Enterprise. Our goal is to provide an understanding of the risks, challenges, opportunities, and next steps. The process assessment also provides the data for the creation of a process improvement roadmap.
We leverage a number of tools to drive process assessment from a discipline assessment to a light-weight but robust organizational Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process assessment. This assessment is also derived from CMMi to map against varied process methodologies. Alternatively, we can support a CMMi assessment as process experts who can delve into your ongoing projects to gauge against CMMi Process Areas (PA).
Roadmapping is performed when the process needs are identified and risks are mitigated. A roadmap is generated for the definition, implementation, and maturation of process across an IT organization or IT enterprise. Our goal is to help our clients understand what needs to be done when, where, and how, and is underlined by measurable results demonstrating success as well as continued improvement. Defining the roadmap is a short-term activity that pays dividends in terms of providing a means to manage a process improvement effort, communicate the process improvement effort, and provide a time scale to measure progress.
Defining a process is not difficult. Enabling an organization to adopt, integrate, and customize a process to its culture is. This is where our enablement service offering comes into effect. Enablement is performed by leveraging process maturity models, such as SEI's IDEAL and the ADKAR, where the organization is prepared for the delivery and adoption of a defined process. Enablement deals with the cultural aspects of process adoption: “process is done for people, not to people.” Enablement services include a diverse set of activities:
The most successful results are ones where enablement is intertwined with the assessment, analysis, and definition of a new process. An important element of enablement is the integration of tools within the process or the enactment of the process with a platform that facilitates a seamless working environment. That is where Process Enactment comes into play.
