Reusable Architectural Framework

To address the needs of our clients Noblestar has developed a reusable architectural framework to ease the transition from analysis to design and construction. This framework can be used as the foundation for an organization's application development efforts and is provided at no additional cost to the project. The framework is based on sound best practices of software engineering and will:

The architecture framework provides the common, non-business specific functionality for all internal applications, such as security, transaction management, application distribution and an interface to relational databases. Without the use of Noblestar's framework, this layer will need to be defined and constructed extending the project timeline and costs.

Software Development Process

Noblestar is also specialized in Rational's software development process, Rational Unified Process (RUP™). We make process adoption easier by adding details and set choices for key process decisions.

Best-of-Breed Tools

Finally, Noblestar has extended and integrated best-of-breed tools in a number of ways. This includes both general integration, (e.g., integration with MS Project, ClearQuest, and ClearCase), as well as integration specific to the architecture, (e.g., Rational Rose add-ins to generate architectural specific classes). The architectural best practices, in concert with Noblestar's process, process automation and tools, defines what we refer to as Rosetta Software Engineering (SE). We are able to reduce the cost of the development environment because our team is equipped with the Rational development tools and is experienced in using them on similar projects, which eliminates both the start-up cost of additional licenses as well as the learning curve of using a new tool.
