Noblestar Increases Support for the IBM Rational User Groups in California

Noblestar, an international IT Management Consulting firm, announced today that Carson Holmes, a Senior Consultant at Noblestar and Lead Organizer for the Los Angeles Rational User Group (LARUG), will also head up the Orange County Rational User Group (OCRUG) in 2007.

Rational User Groups are independent, user-run membership organizations that provide Rational users with information to assist them in the implementation of Rational Software solutions. Members share a tight connection with Rational, helping to define and shape future products.

Each group has their first meeting of 2007 early in February, with the LARUG first on the 7th and the OCRUG on the 8th. Both meetings will feature presentations by Rob Lamb, Vice President of IBM Rational Sales Americas, and Saif Islam, Technical Services Manager. Rob Lamb will be presenting on “IT Governance with Service-Oriented Architecture” and Saif Islam will be presenting on “Process Adoption Framework”.

The LARUG and OCRUG were formed after the Southern California Rational User Group became inactive in 2003. Carson Holmes formed the LARUG and Nancy Parker formed the OCRUG. With Nancy stepping down this year, Carson was eager to head the OCRUG. He commented, “I'm looking forward to rejuvenating the OCRUG, and with Noblestar's tremendous support I will be able to schedule great speakers on prominent topics that will add value to the OC software development community.”
